24 hours in Reno

We surprised Dan's family in Reno by showing up for Shane and Lauren's reception.
Dan's mom was so surprised she screamed and sent Jane into tears. After we greeted everyone, we were off to the church for a wonderful evening of food, family and fun.
The next day, we went to Lake Tahoe and spent the afternoon in the welcoming sun. At one point, every two-year-old on the premises was naked and in the water. Dan and I had to leave with our girls shortly after, but everyone else went sledding- from swim to snow. What a day!

Sharing clothes

I knew Jane and Hannah would share clothes some day, but I didn't think it would be so soon. Hannah put on Jane's pants (size 3-6 months) and at first I told her to take them off but then I thought they looked kind of cute. She wore them as capris today.

She's finally crawling...forward!

Jane has been crawling for the last few weeks. The problem is, she has only been crawling backwards. We thought we might have to install some rear-view mirrors on her, but after the weekend, we found such drastic measures were not going to be necessary.

The Forest Hills Dancers

My friends and I have started a cooperative dance class for our little girls. I teach the dance portion of each class (ballet, gymnastics, what have you) and one other mom teaches a "movement" lesson. The girls love it, even if they don't really know what they are doing. I think their favorite part about the class is dressing up in their dance clothes. Hannah wouldn't take hers off today. She looks so cute in them that I didn't argue.

the weekend

Shane got married this past weekend, to Lauren Barlow.

Trip to seattle

We went to Seattle for Minna's dad's 60th surprise birthday party. Here's Hannah in a poodle skirt for the "good-bye 50's" theme.














We stayed only one night at Sam and Christine's home. I couldn't sleep around 6am or so so I went for a walk around their pond. I made a new friend.
