Sisters

Hannah was holding Jane while watching a show and I was sitting next to them crocheting. Suddenly, Jane sneezed and as I looked over at her, Hannah whispered "bless you" (sounds like "beh boo") whithout blinking or taking a single eye ball off the television. Hannah's sweetness just comes naturally to her.

Duct Feet

When people told me my feet might grow after pregnancy, I didn't think I would be needing a whole new wardrobe of shoes. Tonight, I left on foot for a young women's activity with my Danskos. They felt a little tight when I put them on, but since I was running late, I left them on my feet. I noticed blisters developing halfway to the church and by the time I got there I was in serious pain. I went through the activity barefoot and was happy to do so. I couldn't put the same shoes back on my feet when the activity was over so my friend pulled out some duct tape from her purse (what?) and suggested we use it to cover the blister. I still couldn't put my foot in the shoe so Dan went a step further and suggested we cover the bottoms of my feet with the tape. It worked. Thanks to Rochelle for having duct tape in her purse. As payment I'm giving her my Danskos. Unfortunately, now my feet have that awful trace of duct tape stickiness all over. Any ideas as to how to get that off?

Weekend Outings

We had a great weekend as a family. Friday, Dan was able to take us to Central Park Zoo with his department where they spent the day in lieu of a day at the office. Hannah had fun getting there as she rode on a subway seat all by her big-girl self.

Here we are in a rare family photo just outside the zoo.

There's something about a daddy and his girls, and I always have fun watching Hannah and Dan interact. Saturday was no exception. We went to Jones Beach just so we could fly a kite. Dan let her fly the kite, walked with her in the sand and played with her in the water. We enjoyed the scene (as well as the emergency helicopter landing for an injured swimmer) as it may be our last visit to the beach for a while.

She's not that serious after all

Jane has decided to start smiling, and we think she likes it. We're glad because she looks so cute with a happy face.

Hannah and Sam

Here is Hannah and Sam. They had fun getting reacquainted while we visited the Truscotts in Boston. For their first date, they went for a swing on the porch. They are now betrothed.

Jane at One Month

Here is Jane at one month. She is growing fast- already over 9 lbs! When she is awake, she is WIDE awake with big bright eyes, just like her big sisters.
